Indoor Training
The trainees are taught with 10 different subjects including BNS (old IPC), BNSS (Old CRPC), BSA (Old Evidence act), Minor act, Criminology, Police Administrator and Organization, Forensic and also trained with CCTNS, Cyber Crime, Finger prints. They are trained to prepare relevant papers of criminal cases along with case studies. This Indoor training is imparted by 36 officers of the rank of PI to PSI and some technical experts.
Emotional Intelligence is a subject added in syllabus for last 3 years which enable trainees to think the crime and criminals with a psychological and humanitarian view. This reduces the rigidity in policing and makes it more flexible.
In order to update training skills officers in the last year alone have attended more than 43 online and offline trainings on different subjects organized by BPR&D, Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.
Syllabus
The trainees are taught in 9 different subjects, viz. Bharatiy Nyay Sanhita (Indian Penal Code). Bharatiya Nagarik Surakhsa Sanhita (Criminal Procedure Code), Bharatiya Saksha Adhiniyam (Indian Evidence Act), Minor acts of India as well as Local Act of Maharashtra, Criminology, CCTNS and most importantly Crime Against Women and Children. They are also taught practical subjects like cyber-crime, mobile forensics, finger prints and preparing case papers along with case studies. This Indoor training is imparted by PI / API / PSI – 33, Law Officers .
During weekends guest lectures by experts in various subjects like Intelligence Collection, Terrorist Organization and Current Threats, Traffic and Road Safety Training, Human right training, Personality Development, Soft Skills, Yog, Self-defense etc. are arranged. First Aid, Sex Education and HIV- AIDS training, by the District Health Officer along with health checkup camps with blood testing and blood donation are also arranged in the campus.
